#SDmediaPR Holiday Party

December is here and our last chance to mingle for 2010... rally up the troops - post-sweeps broadcasters, hectic-holiday print journos and end-of-year wrapping-it-up PR peeps - to enjoy an evening of networking and holiday cheer. We will be collecting items for tweens/teens to be distributed by the Santee Santas. The Melting Pot has offered to reward your generosity - bring an item for a tween/teen and recieve a $10 Dip Certificate to bring a friend back with you!

Our very gracious host, The Melting Pot - Gaslamp, will be sharing their signature fondues and cocktails with the #SDMediaPR gang - from the delectably, cheesy dips to their sensational chocolate delicacies. We will sample their fine fares with drink specials ($5 wells, wine & beer) available to everyone. If you haven't had a chance to get a much sought-after reservation, this is a great way to taste their wares, ambiance and libations.

Come join us, and other public relations, TV, radio and print experts at The Melting Pot Restaurant for a night of fondue dipping and cocktail sipping. The Melting Pot will be providing a variety of creamy cheese and decadent chocolate fondues and will offer special prices on cocktails, beer and wine from their extensive list.

Don’t commit a “fondon’t” and miss a chance to mingle with like-minded San Diegans while experiencing the fun of The Gaslamp’s newest interactive dining experience.

About Santee Santas
We will be collecting items for the hardest group of kids - tweens/teens (11-18). Please bring a new, unwrapped item that would appeal to boys and girls - gift cards, electronics, music, movies, games, etc.

Each year a food drive is organized through our local elementary and high schools to bring some holiday cheer to struggling families. With the generous support of local businesses, nonprofit organizations and volunteers like, food and toys are collected, sorted, boxed, (toys are wrapped) and delivered to Santee families in need each December. In 2009, Santee Santas served over 178 families during the holidays, including 350 children.
